The girls are back.. Its been a very loud day. Its amazing how much noise two little girls can make. I seriously wouldn't have it any other way though.
Its my "little" brothers birthday today.
He's 22, so I guess he's not so "little" but he's almost 10 years younger so he's always been little to me. He's a HUGE Halloween buff, and loves anything Haunted, scary, gory, or remotely disgusting. The girls and I set out to find him a perfect gift, and Megan's first suggestion was something "halloweenish". I wasn't convinced until we came across some really cool looking stone tomb stones that we knew he'd love.
Meg was right, they were a hit, and the rest of the family had the same idea because my mom and steph found him a lawn size tomb stone. It sounds funny to get someone Halloween stuff in August, but for Mike its just what he needed.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY MIKE WE LOVE YOU!

After enjoying some time and pizza at my parents house, the girls and I decided to take a trip to Walmart to see if we could find Nim's Island for a good price. Finding it, I decided that I wasn't willing to pay 19.99 for a children's movie that might get watched once or twice so we grabbed a few other items and headed for the check out. Megan had dressed up in one of her fancy dress-up dresses for Mike's birthday, and was still wearing it when we ran to the store. As we approached the line a darling little girl about 3 years old squealed excitedly and said "mommy look! its a Princess!!" It was so cute and she was totally serious. The mother and I exchanged smiles, and I encouraged Megan to say Hello. The little girl was still excitedly pointing to Megan and when Megan gave the little girl a shy "hello" the little girl exclaimed "Mommy! she said Hi to me!" I whispered to Megan that she should twirl for her.. it took a bit more coaxing but Megan finally did a few turns allowing her dress to fluff a little. The little girl was delighted and just kept squealing and talking excitedly to her mother about the princess twirling in her 'bootiful' dress. She kept reaching out for her so Megan stepped closer to the girl.. The little girl couldn't resist, she reached her little finger out and TOUCHED Megan, squealing "mommy, I touched the Princess! I touched her!"... It was all so funny. The Mother and I were both laughing, and Megan was secretly thrilled to be getting so much attention. As we were walking out of the store Megan , with a pleased smile on her face and a smooth of her hair she said "isn't that cute how she thought I was a real princess Mom?". I have to say it WAS pretty cute!
