Day Seven.....What's TV?

Mathew was SOOO wonderful for me at church today! He slept through Sunday school and snuggled in my arms through half of relief society.. I was in mommy heaven..
We did have a few more TV comments today than there has been. I think for all of us, it just sounded so good to sit back and watch a movie. I didn't cave though.. I'm holding strong..... And actually its getting a bit easier.. I'm realizing just how much we didn't watch it, but had it on in the background for no reason..
The Girls and I worked on art projects for the rest of the day, including a walk to the school for a few pictures ( I consider that my art project). The weather was Gorgeous but No one was in the mood to cooperate so I didn't get any really good shots with the three of them together. (its so much easier with other peoples kids!) I do love the one below where they're all distracted in their own little way. I think Megan was checking out a booger......
oh well. I have a few more weeks for Christmas cards!
Ali is entering this years "Reflections" contest at school, and did a really great job on a drawing of herself helping with Special Olympics. I'll take a picture of it when she's all done..

Photo Shoot, and No TV day 5

Day 5 without TV.. I did so much better today.
Might have to do with the fact that I was pre-occupied doing a sibling photo shoot!
I had SO much fun doing this one. I have wanted to do these specific shots for awhile now, and I think they turned out Fabulous!(click to hear)

Ali and Meg are both at friends houses for the night, (which they are probably filling with as much free TV time as they can).
Here are some pictures from the shoot today.....

How cute is this baby?

Isn't this little one cute? She's 5 weeks old. I just LOVE taking baby pictures!!

I had an interesting day today.
Megan had a play date with a little girl in her kindergarten class. She brought along her little cousin (who I might add was only 4 years old). I had never formally met the mother before which apparently was my first mistake. my second was that I didn't get her phone number .

She was scheduled to pick them up at 1:30.
I usually like play dates because it gives me a chance to get things done while Meg is entertained... NOT this time! I had to watch them like hawks so I got nothing accomplished. The oldest had a potty mouth so I had to keep telling her "we don't say that", "we don't call names", "You don't need to yell, just ask nicely"..And then I'd turn around and the younger one was asking me for food again....
Well 1:30 came and went.. and then it was 2, and 2:30, and 3...you get the picture?
... when She showed up at 5:30 to pick them up I could not have been more completely appalled at someones parenting or lack of!
She came to the door with some exaggerated excuse and all I could do was nod my head, and shut the door tightly behind her.
come 9pm... the DOORBELL rings! mind you my kids are all in bed as there bedtime is 8:30. The mother had brought me a plate full of uncooked (literally) brownies. I smiled and thanked her graciously, but it changed nothing of my opinion of her. I wonder why she thought ringing the doorbell at 9pm on a school night was okay?
anyway.. Going to be a little awkward when I see her at drop off tomorrow.

I should have known today was going to be fun. Meg started it off with an hour long drama fest over socks and underwear!
All's well that ends well......

Weekend Away

We had SO much fun in Vernal over the weekend. I haven't had a chance to sit down and write about it yet, so this is a little late. We went down for MJ's blessing, and Angie had asked me to do some family pictures for them.
We drove out on Friday. The car ride was a little hairy due to the fact that our Little guy does not like the car for any long period of time. I let Taylor drive because last time we drove down to Vernal, I received my first speeding ticket in 14 years!
Ali was so excited to see Coryne (her best friend)
and Megan was even more excited to see that they had kittens running around.
Meg spent a good portion of the weekend toting around this one. She's inherited my allergies however and by the end of each day, her eyes and nose were so swollen I had to dose her with Benadryl. She didn’t care. she loved and snuggled her anyway. When we left Monday she asked if we could bring her home with us.

The girls have wanted a cat for some time now. We're considering taking one from their next litter, but we'd have to put Megan on Singulair.. Don't know if that’s worth it or not... We've got some time to think about that one.. I personally could never own a cat in my lifetime, but there ARE 4 other members of the family that seem to like the idea

The kids rode Tigger their horse. We tried to get the kids to feed him apples from the tree but Megan saw all the frothy mess coming from his chomping jaws when we showed her how
to do it and absolutely refused to share in that experience. (Meg's acquired a germ phobia.. weird considering she still collects and plays with worms, snails, and mud!)

Jumped on the trampoline
and even got to play in the water (after Megan's pleading for two days)
then crashed each night exhausted (and drugged)

It was so relaxing. They were so good to us, and I really felt at home in their cute house.
I had so much fun taking newborn pictures of the tiny 7 pound little MJ, and I just LOVED taking their family pictures out in the green green field.
I think I would have stayed another week, if I could have. I wish that Ang and I could hang out more often. we just don't get together enough
Oh, and before I left, Angie asked me to help her set up her own Blog. Check it out.. I am so excited to see what she has in store.

I'm not a beautician!

I'm not allowed to cut Matties hair anymore. This is what happens when I do.......
He reminds me of someone...............

Thankfully Alisha came to the rescue with her mad haircutting skills.

I had a Maternity shoot this afternoon.
Here are a few of my favorites. It was a fun shoot. Mom is naturaly beautiful, and Dad was ever so cooperative, even if he couldnt stop making silly faces!

UARS update and Photo shoot

Update: Went to the ENT yesterday..... I get to do THIS for two months. The other option is surgery, and I'm NOT interested in that option. Should be interesting.. If I can sleep with the darn thing on, then We'll see if it helps. (remember to click on highlighted words for links)

Picture Time!
I had a really fun photo shoot yesterday. A darling family who had just adopted a baby boy from Ethiopia two weeks ago. They were so fun to shoot, and you could just see the love that they have for their boys in every picture.
I tend to be a little on the animated side when it comes to shooting littles. It makes me wonder what the parents walk away thinking about my professionalism... Hey, if it gets a smile, then I've done my job!

Here are a few of my favorites.
Haven't had a chance to really go through all of them yet.
