We love to fill our family time with crafts as it gets closer to Christmas.
We started a few nights ago with a fun paper chain full of Holiday color.
but Megan surprised me and used every last strip that I'd cut.
She decided in the end that she wanted a chain that She could use to count down to her Birthday (Next April). She counted over and over again to make sure she had enough, and then took our lovely Christmas chain up to her room to hang and strip until Spring.

What I've learned this year from craft time?
Unfortunately I left the Elmer's glue sitting on the kitchen table.........
Right Where Mattie found it, and Used it as HAIR GEL!!
Oh so sticky....

on a side note, poor Mattie has been so sick this week.. To add to his never ending cold, he developed nasty cankers all over the inside of his mouth ( hand, foot, mouth ).. It was awful, he was so miserable and could hardly eat or drink. Just today (Friday) he's been doing better.
Today he was finally able to enjoy his favorite snack again ......... Frozen fish sticks (still frozen).

Today we decorated a Gingerbread house........

December 12th and it should look like this right?
(Above) This is 2001. Ali and I in my parents front yard (she's Mattie's age). This was end of November too.
If you noticed in all the pictures above (and another below) there is NO SNOW on the ground. I'm wondering if we are actually going to have a white Christmas this year.
Not that I'm complaining Too much, I Don't really love driving through the thick stuff.
