Duck Duck Goose!

Keena and I met at Liberty Park for a morning walk with the boys. When I woke up I was shocked at how sore my thighs were from all the squats I apparently did during the photo shoot the night before. Keena swore the walk would do me good. We strapped the boys in their strollers and went on our way. We made it around the loop one and a half times before Mattie decided that he needed a little exercise of his own. I couldn’t blame him.. we’d already passed the park once.
We played at the park while Keena fed Chandler. She had her camera in her bag and I stole it to snap a few pictures. See here's my shadow!

He had so much fun checking things outThen we convinced Mattie to move along and see the ducks.
He walked most of the way, and found plenty of things to distract him from getting tired.
here he is watching the three little girls in their underwear playing in the water.
(Maybe their parents didn't realize that it was barely 70 degrees outside and that the water is freezing.. or that they were ingesting large amounts of water with the possibility of cryptosporidium floating among the water scum..... whatever... maybe its just been a really long time since I've been to Liberty park.......) moving on..
ohhh flowers! lets rip their heads off! (He's such a boy!)
and then (below) the after scolding face..

When we got to the pond, there were already people feeding the ducks, and geese, so they were all up on the shore. All it took was a rumple of the plastic bread bag and 20 of them were gathered at our feet. Mattie was a little overwhelmed and hid behind my legs a few times, but he was quite good at chucking bread hunks at them. Occasionally an audacious one would try snatching it out of his hand!. I had to gently nudge them away with my foot a few times so they wouldn't snatch my baby!

It was a lovely morning. The weather was perfect, and I was glad to get out of the house. Thanks for the suggestion Keena.. We’ll have to do it again real soon.

Liberty Park is such a fun excuse to go walking, it's so much better than just going around the neighborhood :-) Fun pictures!
I am scared to death of geese!
