So remember THIS post 6 months ago? Well, obviously I didn’t go very far with it, or you’d have heard about it by now. It took me 6 months but I finally joined weight watchers online a little over two weeks ago. It’s been quite an adjustment to cut down on things that I have eaten for years. Honestly I never really thought that I had a problem with food, and I still don’t, but I do have a problem in the choices of food that I eat. For instance I am a cereal addict. But did you know that one bowl of cereal can cost you an average of 5 points? And No-one can eat just one bowl of cereal right? When you’re allotted 21 points in an entire day, that 5 points is a huge consideration! Portion size is huge too. You don’t realize how much you pile on your plate when you’re not paying attention.
I am really pleased with the online options. I can calculate points, track my weight and diet, get recipes, advice and much more. It’s been very helpful so far. I’ve adjusted my diet to include a much higher ratio of veggies, and a much lower ratio of the things that I used to live off of like bread, pasta, cereal.
Last week I purchased a ton of fresh produce and cut it all up into small pieces ready to use. I liked being able to throw peppers and onions in with my Egg Beaters in the morning adding that nutritional value and increasing the flavor and portion size instead of using cheese like I would have in the past. I also added cooked spinach to my rice and grilled chicken the other night, which was really tasty and quite filling.
My starting weight was 154. I’ve weighed in twice and so far I’m down 4 pounds. I’d say that is a pretty good improvement. I'm also going to track my measurements but I just did that a few days ago, so I'll wait a bit to see if there is a difference. I still really need to incorporate some exercise into the mix. I’m taking it one day at a time..
Happy New Year!

Good for you!!! Maybe I should give Weight Watchers a try....I've heard so many people talk about how well it works. I just know that it's pretty much impossible for me to cut back carbs - I love them too much! That's my biggest problem!
Sounds like you're doing great!!!! I've used weight watchers several time to lose weight. It has worked well for me. =)
Go girl! Good for you! I love the idea of cutting up veggies ahead of time. I always thought cereal was kind of healthy :( At least better than toast smeared with jam. Hmmm....
