Proud

Ali mentioned last night, that today at school they would be presenting two kids from each class an award in front of the entire school at an Assembly. She wasn't sure who it would be but was so hopeful that it was her. I had a feeling that she would be one of them ( I just did) but I didn't want her to be hurt if it wasn't so I told her that everyone needs to have a chance to be recognized and not to feel bad if it wasn't her turn..

well...

It was!

I'm so proud of this girl of mine..

She also got a certificate from her teacher that says "Amazing Author-one day you are going to be famous so I better get your autograph now! "

this is the third certificate she's received for her writing. She really has talent.

For the first time I let her join in the signing of the t-shirt tradition. She was quite thrilled about that part, and has not yet taken the shirt off. I let her take her own camera to school today too, so these images are her own from her last day of 3rd grade........

Her teacher is not coming back next year and Ali was quite upset about it. She told me over and over again that her signed t-shirt made her want to cry because it reminded her of Mrs Knudsen.

Both of the girls had excellent report cards. I was so impressed at how well they've both done this year. Ali got all but one 4 (which I guess would be the equivalent of an A+) and Megan had quite a few 4's as well. They also both got all Excellent in their 'non academic' sections..

Way to go Girls! We're so proud of you both..
