His long lashes distract from the rest of his messy little face. This was two seconds after he'd ingested about 6 caramels from Papa.
Pretty little thing Ms. Megan. She Loves playing "office" when we go to my parents house. They work out of their home so there are plenty of desks, paper, and pens to take over. Grandma always makes sure she has plenty of stickers, and stamps to do her job.
And Then there is Ali..
Today we waited for her after school. She's always one of the last to leave. Angie and the girls were with us. As Angie and I watched for her to come out, we saw a tall blonde girl in a blue dress laughing with her friend as she walked down the path. She looked so big, so happy and carefree. As I watched her, Angie said aloud what I was thinking. "Wow, She's grown up!".
I'm so proud of My kids. They make me so happy.
I love that Ali is becoming so Independent. She wants to shower every morning now, and she does her own hair. Occasionally I try to sneak in an even part, or a headband, but for the most part she's doing it.
She loves to cook, draw, write, read, practice gymnastics, sing in her band, and of course watches entirely too much TV. She's already received a note from her teacher to bring home letting me know that she's doing beautifully in school. She has a new friend again this year. She seems to do that every year. They play Cops and robbers with the boys, and she seems to love it.
Megan
Is more reserved than I expect her to be sometimes. Her personality is so out there, It doesn't seem fitting when she tells me that she has only one friend at school. She said it like it wasn't a big deal, but I wonder if its really Megan who will take after me being socially inept. Last year she had a handful of friends. She told me today that she hasn't made a lot of friends yet this year. Maybe she's just playing me. She does that.
She's doing really well in school. She's reading very well, and has already earned her "10 punches" for good behavior in class by her teacher, (which entitles her to a prize out of the toy box). She took her Teacher cookies today. Her teacher sent home a thank you note, it was very cute.
She is still EXTREMELY picky about her attire, and has now completely changed from last years no zipper rule, to wanting to wear jeans all the time. She still hates socks, and fluffy hair.
Mathew
Talks all day long. About everything! He loves to snuggle, and spends most of his days wandering the backyard playing, jumping on the tramp, or watching his favorite Movie (Toy Story II). He likes to get out of the house once in a while and will tell us by saying "go bye, bye, to the store?". He loves "diggers", "helli-coppers", and "Air-panes". He also loves animals, especially birds, and dogs. His new thing right now is to point out any letter, or number, or combination of both and say "E, R, E, R" . We're trying to teach him that there are more than just those two letters.. We practiced writing letters with chalk in the backyard today. He's so smart.
As we were driving to my parents house this was our conversation

Your kiddles have always had beautiful eyes and lashes.
Ali is Ali - going to be a heartbreaker and drama girl.
Meg is so very Megan and all of her rules she has set. I have a feeling that she might literally break some boys heart. :)
Mattie is Mattie spelling and talking with his cute little voice and making all of us girls wrapped around his pinky finger.
