As we neared the store Taylor pointed out that the Halloween Express sign was up. The kids were instantly talking of costumes, and pleading to go take a look. Megan was so cute, when Taylor said Halloween Express Megan asked, “is that where you ride the train?”. Anyway we did in fact go in to check things out. If you don’t jump on Halloween costumes you end up with the scraps so I thought it might be a good idea to take a look. The girls both ended up finding exactly what they wanted, and I purchased both outfits there on the spot. I like the idea of having them done, ready, and paid for, and as it was pay day, no problem. They’re both going to look adorable at the “trunk or treat” this year. I just hope I can keep the costumes clean and intact till then.. Megan had hers on the rest of the afternoon, because she wanted to show Keena (who babysat for me while I shot the wedding) and her dad when he came to pick them up

Megan's choice.. which I'm pretty sure she chose solely off of the little girls hair in the picture because she insists that her hair look just like it. There were cuter dresses but the girls on the pictures had their hair up.. she's so funny.

And Ali's choice, which had to be "not babyish" ofcourse.. we'll be putting a long sleeve shirt and leggings under this baby... She also got a really cool wig that already has the headband attached to it.

While the girls and I were sorting through costumes and making decisions, Mattie and Taylor were cruising the store. Mathew was jumping, pointing and shouting at everything “ LOOK!, Seen IT? Scare you!” Wow! Look!”, “ooohhhh! Scareloo!,” He had to touch everything, and make sure we all saw each thing too. He’d name the things he knew “ewww!, Spider!”, “Ohhhh, SSSSSNek!” When we left he cried “ No leave scare you!” Then as he resolved to “bye Scary”with a frantic wave of his hand.. and as we were driving away he put his hands over his eyes all dramatically and whispered “ewww.. scareloo!” It was funny..
So although its still September, we're definitely prepared for the costume frenzy which is Halloween.
