I was called about a month ago to do this very unique shoot. It was quite different than anything I've ever seen before. They have been together for 8 years and instead of a big wedding and reception they decided to send out a text to everyone that morning that said "Hey, this is 'Dick' and 'Jane', and we're getting married at this location tonight at 6".
The "wedding" was supposed to be in the Amphitheater at the park she had chosen,However she had not reserved it, so when they arrived there was a play going on. I'd gone a bit early to check out my lighting and position options, and wondered how she'd react.

When they pulled up in their van I asked her what she'd like to do. She quickly pulled her 4 kids out and decided that it should be in the little gully on the other side of the park, (surrounded by trees). It was 6:20 by the time they started, and with all the shade from the trees the lighting was terrible.
About 30 people showed up, and the "ceremony" lasted about 3 minutes. Most people came straight from work in their jeans, and someone even brought there dog. It was very interesting. With 4 kids running around, shade, dusk, and not much direction from anyone it was hard to really get anything traditional.. but as you can tell, there was nothing traditional about this wedding.
It was a fun experience. I'm glad I got to do it.

Fun. I actually really like her tatooed feet shot. She's very pretty.
