BIONATER!!!!!
Finally after months of waiting, we now have the Bionater. Our appointment was at 8 a.m. and I had a feeling that I should have called Friday to see if it had come in yet. I had to get the kids out of bed early and get out of the house by quarter to 8 to get us there on time. We were very disappointed when we were told it hadn't made it in yet. the office contacted Fed Ex and promised that it would be in the office by the afternoon. We anxiously returned around 3 and left the office with a very large piece of plastic for Ali's mouth. She will wear it 24 hours a day except for eating. It is meant to come off of her top teeth so that she can speak. Its quite large in her mouth but I guess it has to be to keep her tongue where it needs to stay. I didn't expect it to move around so much when she talks. She looks awfully cute with it in.. albeit awkward.....

That is a big piece of plastic to go in her mouth! I hope it works for her. She does look cute.
I just tried to call you and you were busy ... I hate it when you can't talk to me cuz of your job ...I wanted to ask you what the pupose of this bionater is? HA HA ...maybe you could cut your shifts back at work a little so we can talk more.
Holy Cow, that is huge for such a little girl's mouth! Does it affect her speech a ton? Just think, if this works, it is so much better than a surgery!
That is big!! I remember when my neice got a big retainer thingy that had to seperate her front teeth and it was so huge. I know, different circumstances but same big huge thing in her mouth. I hope it works! Remind me how long it stays in??
Holy cow that brings back memories! When I was in 10th grade I got an "appliance" to "expand my palate" because my mouth was too small for all of my teeth. I had to wear it 23 hours a day and could barely open my mouth with it in. Had to wear it for a year! It was worth it though. Ali does look darn cute.
