Isn't this little one cute? She's 5 weeks old. I just LOVE taking baby pictures!!
I had an interesting day today.
Megan had a play date with a little girl in her kindergarten class. She brought along her little cousin (who I might add was only 4 years old). I had never formally met the mother before which apparently was my first mistake. my second was that I didn't get her phone number .
She was scheduled to pick them up at 1:30.
I usually like play dates because it gives me a chance to get things done while Meg is entertained... NOT this time! I had to watch them like hawks so I got nothing accomplished. The oldest had a potty mouth so I had to keep telling her "we don't say that", "we don't call names", "You don't need to yell, just ask nicely"..And then I'd turn around and the younger one was asking me for food again....
Well 1:30 came and went.. and then it was 2, and 2:30, and 3...you get the picture?
... when She showed up at 5:30 to pick them up I could not have been more completely appalled at someones parenting or lack of!
She came to the door with some exaggerated excuse and all I could do was nod my head, and shut the door tightly behind her.
come 9pm... the DOORBELL rings! mind you my kids are all in bed as there bedtime is 8:30. The mother had brought me a plate full of uncooked (literally) brownies. I smiled and thanked her graciously, but it changed nothing of my opinion of her. I wonder why she thought ringing the doorbell at 9pm on a school night was okay?
anyway.. Going to be a little awkward when I see her at drop off tomorrow.
I should have known today was going to be fun. Meg started it off with an hour long drama fest over socks and underwear!
All's well that ends well......

She dropped off two kids and didn't show up until 9pm!!!!! You have got to be kidding me! Did she say anything? Anything at all???
How frustrating is that!!! I don't know where people get off doing stuff like that! I hope that at least her children were well behaved for you.
blog surfing...not sure how i got here...lol. but i read this and can totally relate. my 12 yr old had a slumber party last week and we agreed to drop off some of the girls the following morning. My husband was running the girls home and noticed that one little girl had to go around back to get in her house. he sent our daughter up to the front to make sure she got in ok and that someone was home for her. she got in ok but no one was home. so he left a note and called me and i called the house and left a message for the girls mom that we would keep her till she called...that was at 10:30AM she finally called at 11pm...the girls were already asleep...the next day she came and picked her up at 9am...saying, "oh i will have to make it up to you and have Jordan over for a sleep over sometime" ummm no thanks!!
CRAZY LADY!!
sooooo again i can relate.
love the blog...
